Cairo — October 12, 2026. Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has licensed Taj Misr for Promotion, Underwriting of Securities and Management of Real Estate Investment Funds, and approved the establishment of two real estate investment funds sponsored by the group — completing Taj Misr's entry into Egypt's regulated investment sector.
The step follows the FRA's Decision No. 91 of 2026, issued on September 27, which approved the establishment of the company as an Egyptian joint-stock company specialised in promoting securities, underwriting securities subscriptions, and managing real estate investment funds.
FRA Chairman Dr. Islam Azzam then approved Decision No. 2910 of 2026 licensing the company, following its review at session No. 80 of the authority's company establishment and licensing committee. The company operates under Capital Market Law No. 95 of 1992 and its executive regulations.
Under Decision No. 2912 of 2026, the FRA also approved two funds:
Taj Misr Real Estate Investment Fund, which plans to acquire real estate assets worth around EGP 5 billion.
Taj Misr Investment Fund for Tourism Real Estate Assets, which targets tourism and hotel assets worth up to EGP 4 billion, based on field studies and valuations.
According to Eng. Mostafa Khalil, Chairman of Taj Misr Group, the group also plans to launch a dedicated digital platform and mobile app that will let investors subscribe to fund units and track their investments, with the same online services to be offered to other investment funds.
Why this matters: Together, the two funds target EGP 9 billion in real estate and hospitality assets, opening a regulated route for investors to take part in the kind of assets Taj Misr builds and operates — from residential and commercial developments to its hospitality portfolio with Hilton — under FRA oversight.
